2018 MEETINGS

Portsmouth Lacrosse Boosters:  Meeting 5/14/18

​

Attendance: Max Essery, Lee Dooley, Jay Cianciolo, John Damon, Tracy Pedersen, Sarah Townsend

​

1) Senior Night:

West Main Pizza planned for post game food to deliver to Stadium - Kathy/John Damon sending out evite for numbers, but PLB will fund food.  Desserts and drinks by parent donation. 
 

Boosters have made and purchased senior poster/banners of each senior, to be hung around field (grommeted vinyl banners) 

Louis Walker will be there to take pics - we need to tell him that Senior/Parent ceremony is happening pre-game.  Lee will text Louis.
 

Parents are doing senior collage posters also for their players.

2) Max created a questionnaire season/coach feedback form -- to have seniors fill out in exchange for Subway gift cards. Lee/Max to finalize for print and Max will bring them to practice on Wednesday to distribute and encourage all Seniors to fill out.

3) The 3 players that did not get the dark grey practice pack gear will be sent new gear in order to match.

4) Boosters decided to re-open the Lax.com online store for people to have opp for second wave of gear purchase.  Next year we will open the online store in January

7) PLB tax filing needs to be submitted in July. Max & Lee to set reminder.

8) End of the year dinner- Tremblay’s Thursday May 31, potential date.  More planning to come.  PLB to fund, but asking for $10 donation from each fam to help offset.

9) Pass long to Trez- Spring sports get no recognition and would like to have players of the week, and other acknowledgements

10) Propose individual awards at season end party to coach-- boosters pitching having a Jim Campbell award for Heart and Soul.  Jay will propose to coach.  Boosters will help create plaque or award hardware and coordinate with Trez place to display in the school.

Attendance: Max Essery, Lee Dooley, Jay Cianciolo, John Damon, Tracy Pedersen, Eric Richer

1) Swag Update:

-Presentation of final decal & hat samples, all approve

-Sticker order complete, hats due in tomorrow

-Max to add insulated cups to Swag order

-Review donor tracking, discuss setup of hat & sticker delivery (decals in, hats due in tomorrow)

​

2) New Logo Discussion:

-Discuss Patriots Lax Logo (maybe “P” instead of star)

-Agree to ask school for logo approval

​

3) Uniform presentation follow up:

-Nike full jersey preferred over Shooter

-Agree to look obtain Under Armour Quote as well

-Need to get firm number on players to put together shorts order

​

4) Membership Drive Party:

-Push back membership drive party to (1)2/8/18 or (2)2/9/18 depending on availability of Tremblay’s.  If no availability Valley Inn as backup, have goal be to sign up members rather than sell swag.

-Market Party as Adult oriented

-Agree to have “wish list suggestion box” at membership drive party

-Lee to setup New Year email blast with membership party save the date and possible Evite, all members to promote on social media

-Logo/slideshow for the party (PC to HDMI)

5) Open Positions:

-Begin search for competent person who owns up to date equipment to film games (to be followed up on at next meeting). Ben has a different film site he wants to use, huddle, crossover is other.

-Search for Student Manager, duties: score reporting to papers, track advance stats, manage Max Preps.  Offer to pay student manager in swag or cash?  (to be followed up on at next meeting)

-Next meeting January 30th concentration on the plan & push to the party
