OLD BUSINESS

Raffle was a success!  535 tickets sold, prizes/winners went smoothly - Special thanks to Max for bearing the brunt of pulling, contacting, and distributing winners/prizes 

More award decals ordered per coach Ben's request

Team family post-game dinners success - thanks Victoria for organizing and communications

NEW BUSINESS

End of season dinner at Brick Alley set for Thursday June 13, 7-9 PM.  Last lax regular season game is May 16. Decided on lower priced banquet package. Max going to see if we can add sliders to menu.

​

Senior Night: Lee working on senior posters, getting photos from pro photogs, making posters, Jay will get printed again at Staples, Dana Pinnock is making cupcakes, PLB will do food after varsity game. 

Scholarship fund, $500/$1000 each year.  Thinking for next year.

OLD BUSINESS

Raffle was a success!  535 tickets sold.

Blackwolves:  good turnout, food was a hit.  Will add this to end of season questionnaire. Did the boys enjoy the game or just the food?

Printed program was a hit.  Thanks Lee Dooley!

Helmet logo & number decals are in, look good. Award decals for coach to use as motivation also!

NEW BUSINESS
We are going to look into new helmets for next year.  Will look into different programs ie reconditioning program, trade ins.  Jay Cianciolo will look into this.

For EG game on May 3, and invite all PYL players to play at half time, then join us for taco night and charge $5 per person. Titos. Eric thinks 70 or 80 will show. 

First tailgate tomorrow night, 4/12.  Pizza and dessert.  PLB buying pizza for players.  Other people are pitching in $6 per person.

End of season dinner at Brick Alley.  June 7 is graduation.  Last lax regular season game is May 16. We don’t want the dinner too far after the season ends.   Thinking May 29 or June 5.

Meeting Notes:

 

Team Dinner-  March 13 at Tremblay’s 6:30, pasta, wings and salad. High School players are free and Parents pay $10.00 at the door. Working on a DOOR PRIZE!

 

Calendar Raffle - Lee is working on finalizing it and it will be ready for the team dinner. Gathering gift cards for squares.

 

Blackwolves Trip- Mohegan  Sun……Sunday March 31. $30.00 per player including transportation, game ticket and all you can eat buffet. Parents welcome at $60 per ticket and must provide their own transportation

 

March 30 First Game against Barrington @ 12:00

 

Game Dinners- Away- games dinner with be West Main Pizza, $8.00 per player which will be coordinated with coach Ben. Home-  5 games, the 3 Friday night games and 2 Saturday games will be funded by the Boosters Club.

 

Film- HUDL was picked. Jay will be in charge of the film card and getting the outside camera person.

 

Bringing in PYL- Friday night games bring in PYL teams to pass around during half time, the Saturday home games bring in the 1/2 kiddos to pass around during half time.

 

Helmet decals - Lee to research and order. Just PORTSMOUTH across back and two top side panels with logo

Meeting Notes:

 

Victoria Cabral approved as PLB board member, replacing John Damon - she will help with communications and admin support.

​

Boosters Membership:  We need to start a membership drive/push for renewal $ support for the 2019 season. 

 

Lee to draft letter and share what we accomplished last year for the team - distribute to PLB members past and also full email contact list. 

 

Dinners, uniforms, warm up gear, supplies for both boys and girls teams needs to be decided. 

 

Victoria texted Ben for team roster, also add new players to living roster PLB Google Doc.  

 

PLB Board members - Split list up and directly ask/urge them to donate. 

 

Lee to email all parents and contacts with letter and asking to join boosters/donate again this year. 

Lee thinks we should have the team/boys do some fundraising. Car wash, etc.

 
Blast 900 or so people on our mailing list and ask them for donations. 

Christmas Lax.com popup store profit put it toward our bill, and got some extra gear (helmets) to sell or give away. 

Jay talked to Matt from lax.com to get pricing on helmets for next year.    If we wait a year we can get a metallic red helmet for about $200. 

Fundraising ideas:  Max proposes a monthly raffle.  Winning ticket every day.  $$, leftover t shirts (38), cups.  Friday prize could be cash or gift cards.  He is thinking $20/ticket and give each player 10 tix.  Incentive for the kids:  top 3 sellers will get either a glove, stick, helmet. 

 

Max has 2 helmets. Jay had a good idea to put the schedule on the calendar.

 
Another fundraising idea:  Sell ad space for season roster.  $150 per ad.  List all players, Varsity and JV.  Hand out at games. All board members challenged to get advertisers for this spots.
 

Table at the games to sell swag. 
 

Jay is going to email freshman roster to Ben to confirm/collaborate to make sure thorough.
 

Jay looking into a Black Wolves game for the team to go to together.  Sell tickets??  Give tickets to the team??  Rent a bus?  Grab dinner together before/after game? 

​

Max & Lee to work on design and layout of Season Roster/Sched handout.  Max to send mockup to Lee to work on.
